Other-caregiver device not included in the plan

Detection

The family plan has no shared rule for devices outside the main home.

Fix (technical)

eSafety specifically says controls should be set on devices the child may access while in the care of others. Use a short cross-household checklist rather than silently assuming the home configuration follows the child. [esafety-parental-controls]

Fix (relational)

Agree a minimal shared rule with co-parents, grandparents and carers; keep it child-centred rather than adversarial.

Residual risk

A parent may not be able to configure another adult’s device.
