Detection
System clock shows incorrect time; messages or game logs display timestamps from other time zones.
Fix (technical)

Fix (relational)
Address the motivation behind extending screen time (e.g., finishing a multiplayer game round or chatting with peers). Re-establish clear household boundaries around device wrap-up times rather than treating it purely as technical defiance.
Residual risk
If network connection is lost or location services are disabled, clock drift may occur without manual override.
